The Swedish VGU is a regulation and guideline for best practice when designing roads and streets in Sweden. The VGU is issued by the Swedish Transport Administration. The rules in the regulation are mandatory for use within the Swedish Transport Administration, while for the municipalities, the document is seen as an advisory document.
